Limit one passport per customer.
All participating stores must stamp your card between 4/27/24 and 5/5/24 to be eligible for a discount. No purchase necessary.
Your completed passport is valid for a one-time discount of 20% on a single transaction of regularly priced merchandise at each participating bookshop. Exclusions may apply.
Discount valid upon completion through 4/25/25.
Not redeemable for cash or other merchandise.

How do I participate?
Simply pick up a passport at any participating store! Visit all eleven stores between April 27, 2024, and May 5, 2024, and collect a stamp at each one. No purchase is necessary to have your passport stamped.
When your passport is full, you can bring it back to each location for a one-time 20% discount on a purchase. Exclusions apply.
Your discount is valid as soon as all ten stamps are collected!
How do I get a passport?
You can pick up a passport at any participating bookstore starting on April 27. Just ask for one at the register! Visit the Stores tab (above) to see the list of participating bookstores.
How long to do I have to visit the stores?
You’ll have from Saturday April 27, 2024, until Sunday, May 5, 2024, and can visit the stores in any order you like. Each stores regular hours are listed under the Stores tab (above).
Do I have to start on Independent Bookstore Day?
You can start the challenge any day between April 27th and May 5th. But you must start and finish the challenge during that time period.
What’s the prize for completing the book crawl?
You’ll get a one time 20% discount at every store, and can enter to win one of our grand prize swag bags!
Can I use my discount online?
We stamp passports to track that you’ve used your discount, so unfortunately, no.
When does my discount expire?
The last day to use your discount is April 25, 2025, which is the day before the next Independent Bookstore Day when we start all over again!
What’s excluded from the discount?
The 20% discount can only be used on regularly priced merchandise (no compounding discounts). Individual stores may also exclude certain merchandise at their discretion (e.g., vinyl, items on consignment, etc.). If you have questions, just talk to a bookseller at the participating store for help.
What are the grand prize swag bags?
Our swag bags are a fun mix of merchandise from participating stores!
How do I win a grand prize swag bag?
To enter, e-mail a photo of your fully stamped “Stores Visited” passport page to southsoundbookcrawl at gmail dot com by Sunday, May 12, 2024.
When will swag bag winners be announced?
Winners will be notified via e-mail no later than Monday, May 20, 2024, and will have until Monday, May 27, 2024, to respond before another winner will be drawn. Winners will be given instructions on how to claim their prize.
